Victor Lirio

VICTOR LIRIO is an actor and theater producer (DCT's Chief Artistic & Producing Officer) based in New York City. He played Anghel in THE FEMALE HEART and was seen in the workshop production of Chay Yew's THE LONG SEASON at The Public Theatre, directed by Peter Dubois. He also appeared in the 10th anniversary revival of Howard Korder's BOYS' LIFE, world premiere of Prince Gomolvilas's SEATBELTS AND BIG FAT BUDDHAS, Ma-Yi Theatre Company's NOLI ME TANGERE and played lead roles in several new works at EST's OCTOBERFEST including LARRY MY FRIEND, IMMATERIAL IMPLICATIONS, SAMUEL & SALKOW, LEG WRESTLE and OUR PATRIOTS' SONS & DAUGHTERS. He has studied with renowned teacher and critically acclaimed actor, Obie Award winner Deborah Hedwall, and has been actor in-residence at EST's Summer Conference in Lexington, NY since 1999. His voice can be heard on several campaigns for Mercedes Benz, MCI and Fabreze (radio and TV spots).

Victor appeared in the first national tour of the 1996 Broadway revival of THE KING & I which starred Hayley Mills and was directed by Christopher Renshaw. He traveled to Siam for the second time with California Musical Theater, under the direction of John De Luca, as The Interpreter and Angel George. On his performance, Marcus Crowder of Sacramento Bee wrote: "...Victor Lirio as Angel George made a show stopping highlight." A trained dancer, he studied with Richard Gibson at Academy of Ballet in San Francisco.

He developed and produced with Ensemble Studio Theatre (EST) the acclaimed March 2005 production of Linda Faigao-Hall's THE FEMALE HEART directed by Jamie Richards at Theatre Row. He also produced DCT's GREEN ROOM SERIES 2005, a summer festival presenting nine original plays by emerging and established playwrights including Warren Bodow, Joe Byers, Lee Errickson, Stuart Harris, Jorshinelle Taleon-Sonza and Susan Tammany, as well as Australian playwright Michael Gurr's award-winning suspense drama, SEX DIARY OF AN INFIDEL, directed by Obie Award winner Ching Valdes-Aran. In addition, he established the FIRST DRAFT FELLOWSHIP (FDF), a playwriting mentorship program for emerging playwrights. He is currently developing Faigao-Hall's NEA-honored full-length play, WALKING IRON, about a construction worker who outs himself in the worksite.

Outside the world of the theater, Victor has over 10 years of extensive media experience in sales & marketing, client development, corporate communications and investor relations. He is CEO/Managing Partner of a media marketing company, Eleven Seven Partners, LLC and has produced marketing events and conferences on Wall Street with Bear Stearns, Deutsche Bank Securities and Bank of America's media, entertainment and technology groups such as the Radio Symposium and Mobile Symposium which he conceived, produced and directed with Interep. He has presented C-level executives from the leading broadcast, research, internet, technology and advertising companies including Arbitron, Audible.com, Carat Americas, CBS Radio, Clear Channel, Emmis, iBiquity, Inner City, IPG, Napster, Omnicom, Podbridge, Traffic.com, Vibes Media, XM Satellite Radio, among others.

Victor presented DCT's SOLD-OUT and critically acclaimed benefit concert at Carnegie Hall featuring Tony Award winner Lea Salonga and guest artists Liz Callaway, Andrea McArdle and Paolo Montalban in November 2005 (directed by Richard Jay-Alexander and conducted by award-winning Broadway musical director Kevin Stites), which Playbill's Andrew Gans declared "a triumph!" It was named in the TOP 10 BEST OF 2005.
