Warm Hearts Welcome Faigao-Hall's "The Female Heart"

Jessica Hagedorn, Chay Yew, Curt Dempster, Mia Katigbak, Jorge Ortoll and Ralph Pena Among the Cheery First Nighters at the Sold Out Opening Night Performance

     

NEW YORK -- The eagerly anticipated production of Linda Faigao-Hall's "The Female Heart" officially opened last Saturday, February 26th at Theatre Row's Clurman Theatre. The play, which features Obie Award winner Ching Valdes-Aran, former Miss Saigon Rona Figueroa, Victor Lirio, Tim Davis and Sean Sutherland, is presented by Diverse City Theater in association with Ensemble Studio Theatre. Noted Off Broadway director Jamie Richards directed this poignant piece about the desperate choices two siblings make to escape life in the infamous garbage dump community of the Philippine's Smokey Mountain in the early 1990s.

Opening night attendees cheered the cast and crew at its post-performance party at the Theatre Row Lounge sponsored by Bombay Sapphire and Martha Clara Vineyards.

"The Female Heart" will run until March 13th 2005 at Theatre Row's Clurman Theatre (410 West 42nd Street). Tickets can be purchased through Ticket Central online at www.ticketcentral.com or by calling 212-279-4200. Tickets $15.
